Nominations are now open for the WA Women's Hall of Fame 2016.

The WA Women's Hall of Fame recognises and celebrates the achievements of West Australian women past and present. More than 130 women from across WA have been inducted into the Hall of Fame since 2011.

The Department of Local Government and Communities supports the WA Women's Hall of Fame and is encouraging people to nominate a colleague, neighbour, friend or family member, or someone well known in one of the following categories:

  • Community
  • Business
  • Health
  • Education
  • Arts and Culture
  • Sport

Nominations are assessed using the following criteria:

  • Excellence in chosen field of endeavour
  • Significant contribution to the community and economy
  • Inspirational role model
  • Degree of difficulty of the achievement and any related sacrifices made
  • Future goals and likely impact
  • Voluntary work beyond paid employment
