A passionate mental health advocate will lead Western Australia's National Youth Week (NYW) celebrations in 2017.
Darci Miller, 24, from Como has been appointed as WA's 2017 NYW Ambassador and will represent the State's young people during the week of activities and events.
Darci is a Bachelor of Preventive Health graduate and received a scholarship to work at Mentally Healthy WA. She is passionate about teaching young people to engage in mentally healthy activities.
NYW is Australia's largest celebration of young people and runs from 31 March to 9 April 2017.
As ambassador, Darci will lead the WA NYW planning committee and help coordinate the week's events.
In WA, NYW is presented by Propel Youth Arts in partnership with the Department of Local Government and Communities (DLGC).
More than 100 events are set to take place throughout the State, many of which are funded by National Youth Week grants, through DLGC and the Australian Government's Department of Education and Training.
