A collaborative and innovative approach to the delivery of social services to the south-west metropolitan corridor has received a grant of $350,000 from the Department of Local Government and Communities.

The South West Metropolitan Partnership Forum (SWMPF) combines the efforts of 80 not-for-profit and government human service providers, business and community members to respond to complex social issues in the three local government areas of Cockburn, Fremantle and Melville.

Previous initiatives of the group include a program implemented across schools in the region to support vulnerable and at-risk young people through a series of activities that makes them more engaged in school.

The latest funding will allow the partnership to build on its success in improving outcomes in the south-west metropolitan corridor.
