Wills, deceased estates and financial planning will be among topics covered at a free Future Planning Session for seniors and carers. Friends and family, and people working in related industries with an interest, are also welcome to attend this free information session to be held in Perth's CBD on Wednesday 22 July.
With more than half of Australia's ageing population not having a valid will, the number of people losing the capacity to manage their own legal and financial affairs is set to increase.
Presented by the Department of Local Government and Communities in partnership with the Office of the Public Advocate and the Public Trustee, this session will provide information and advice on:
- managing your future or the future of someone you care for in regard to Wills administration of deceased estates
- Enduring Powers of Attorney or Guardianship
- Advance Health Directives.
The session will also explore the plans you or the person you care for can put in place regarding property, financial and health care decisions, and who would make these decisions if you were unable to.
Where: Exhibition Area, Level 2, Gordon Stephenson House, Perth
When: 9:30am - 12:15pm, Wednesday 22 July
Morning tea will be provided.
To attend, please RSVP on Trybooking by Monday 20 July 2015.
