A young entrepreneur who established a company delivering motivation and self-development workshops for school students has been named as the 2018 Youth Ambassador for Youth Week WA.

David Castelanelli, 19, started Alpha Motivation at age 17 and is passionate about helping young people. As the 2018 Youth Ambassador he will help to promote Youth Week WA and encourage more young people to become involved in activities during the week.

Deputy Ambassador is Philipa Bourke, 24, who currently works for the Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation. She has a special interest in environmental issues and mental health.

Youth Week WA is the largest annual celebration of young people in Western Australia. The event gives young people aged 12 – 25 years an opportunity to express their ideas and views, raise important youth issues and create art and entertainment. The week also allows the community to celebrate the positive contribution young people make to the community.

Youth Week WA will run from 13 – 22 April 2018.
