Communities has a total grants budget of $2.6 million (excl. GST) to trial the Addressing Family Violence in the Kimberley Grants Program for two years. Communities has not set a minimum or maximum value for individual proposals under this Grants Program.
Communities is seeking proposals from Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs), or organisations working in partnership with an ACCO, to develop place-based family violence interventions that support victims, perpetrators and/or families experiencing, or at risk of experiencing family violence. Communities also encourages proposals for service(s) that will empower individuals and whole of community to identify ways and practices to lead and sustain momentum beyond the project timeframe.
Innovation is encouraged and Communities welcomes proposals for services that are flexible, culturally responsive, culturally secure and informed by local requirements to reduce the harmful effects of family violence in the Kimberley region and contribute to the achievement of long-term healing and overall wellbeing.
Proposed interventions should have a focus on prevention and response.
Guidelines on the application process and further information about the Grants Program is available within the Application Form.
